CASTROL RX FIFA WORLD CUP SMART CHALLENGE SMS & WIN

1. This CASTROL RX FIFA WORLD CUP SMART CHALLENGE SMS & WIN Contest [“the Contest”] is organised by BP Castrol Lubricants (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd [“the Organiser”] and is open to all Malaysian residents older than 18 years of age as of 31st Oct 2009 and who are an employee of participating SparePart or Workshop outlets that sells Castrol RX Fuel Saver Products direct to end-consumers [“the Trade Participant”].


2. The following group of persons shall not be eligible to participate in this Contest:
   
   [a] Employees of the Organiser [including its affiliated and related companies] and their immediate family members [children, parents, brothers and sisters, including spouses]; and/or
   
   [b] Representatives, employees, business partners/ distributors, servants, sponsors and/or agents of advertising and/or promotion service providers of the Organiser [including its affiliated and related companies], and their immediate family members [children, parents, brothers and sisters, including spouses].

1. The Contest will run from 01st Nov 2009 at “00:00:00” to 28th Feb 2010 at “23:59:59” Malaysian Time [GMT +0800] [“the Contest Period”]. The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Contest Period at any time. All entries received outside the Contest Period will be disqualified.

1. To participate in this Contest, you must be a Trade Participant. Castrol RX Fuel Saver products Resellers are not eligible to participate.


2. Trade Participants are required to register by sending in a short messaging service [“SMS”] from any of the locally registered mobile numbers. Trade Participants MUST use their own mobile number to send in their participation SMS.
   
   Registration is done only once [1]via SMS to 36300 and must be completed with the keyword and the new IC number in the following manner:

3. Trade Participants with the successful SMS registrations will receive a notification SMS which will include the four [4] digits Seller Code which will be used as their contest entry.


4. Each qualified SMS from End-Consumers carrying the Trade Participant’s Seller Code received during the Contest Period will be serialized according to the time of receipt hh/mm/ss/ms and dd/mm/yyyy


5. Each SMS costs RM0.30 and standard telecommunication charges apply.


6. In the event that the Trade Participant forgets and/or loses their Seller Code, the Trade Participant may retrieve the Seller Code by sending in the registration SMS and fulfill the requirements as stated.


7. It is mandatory that Trade Participants are required to state their Seller Code to the End-Consumers in order to earn and accumulate points.


8. Points will be awarded to the Trade Participant for each successful SMS sent by End-Consumers which must include both the Seller Code and POP Code (the Proof of Purchase Code).


9. Trade Participants will be entitled one [1] point for 5L pack Castrol RX Fuel Saver entries and three [3] points for 18L pail Castrol RX Fuel Saver entries.


10. In the event of Trade Participants having the equal number of points accumulated, the winner of the tie will be sorted and determined by the Trade Participant that managed to collect the accumulated points with the earlier date and time.


11. By participating, the Trade Participants have agreed to adhere to BP Safety Policy and have agreed not to use mobile phones while operating vehicles.


12. Trade Participant that has participated before will not be eligible to participate as an End-Consumer (non-employee of participating SparePart shops and/or Workshops). This will be identified by the unique Malaysian IC of the Trade Participant.

1. The Prizes for this Contest consists of five [5] categories.


2. Qualified Trade Winners are required to answer a set of questions correctly in order to win the prizes.


3. Category 1: November 2009 Monthly Trade Winners
   • There will be ten [10] prizes to be won for this category.
     
     Ten [10] Trade Participants with the highest monthly accumulated points in the month of November, between 1st Nov 2009 “00:00:00” and 30th Nov 2009 “23:59:59” only, will be called up to answer one [1] question. If the Trade Participant answers incorrectly, the subsequent Trade Participant with the following highest accumulated points will be called up to answer the question. The ten [10] Trade Participants with the highest accumulated points to successfully answer the question correctly will be the November Trade Winners and will each receive One [1] unit of Ringgit Malaysia One Hundred [RM100] shopping voucher.


4. Category 2: December 2009 Monthly Trade Winners
   • There will be ten [10] prizes to be won for this category.
     
     Ten [10] Trade Participants with the highest monthly accumulated points in the month of December, between 1st Dec 2009 “00:00:00” and 31st Dec 2009 “23:59:59” only, will be called up to answer one [1] question. If the Trade Participant answers incorrectly, the subsequent Trade Participant with the following highest accumulated points will be called up to answer the question. The ten [10] Trade Participants with the highest accumulated points to successfully answer the question correctly will be the December Trade Winners and will each receive One [1] unit of Ringgit Malaysia One Hundred [RM100] shopping voucher.


5. Category 3: January 2010 Monthly Trade Winners
   • There will be ten [10] prizes to be won for this category.
     
     Ten [10] Trade Participants with the highest monthly accumulated points in the month of January, between 1st Jan 2010 “00:00:00” and 31st Jan 2010 “23:59:59” only, will be called up to answer one [1] question. If the Trade Participant answers incorrectly, the subsequent Trade Participant with the following highest accumulated points will be called up to answer the question. The ten [10] Trade Participants with the highest accumulated points to successfully answer the question correctly will be the January Trade Winners and will each receive One [1] Ringgit Malaysia One Hundred [RM100] shopping voucher.


6. Category 4: February 2010 Monthly Trade Winners
   • There will be ten [10] prizes to be won for this category.
     
     Ten [10] Trade Participants with the highest monthly accumulated points in the month of February, between 1st Feb 2010 “00:00:00” and 28th Feb 2010 “23:59:59” only, will be called up to answer one [1] question. If the Trade Participant answers incorrectly, the subsequent Trade Participant with the following highest accumulated points will be called up to answer the question. The ten [10] Trade Participants with the highest accumulated points to successfully answer the question correctly will be the February Trade Winners and will each receive One [1] Ringgit Malaysia One Hundred [RM100] shopping voucher.


7. Category 5: Grand Prize Trade Winners
   • There will be ten [10] prizes to be won for this grand prize category.
     
     Ten [10] Trade Participants with the highest accumulated points for the whole Contest Period will be called up to answer one [1] question. If the Trade Participant answers incorrectly, the subsequent Trade Participant with the following highest accumulated points will be called up to answer the question. The ten [10] Trade Participants with the highest accumulated points for the whole Contest Period to successfully answer the question correctly will be the Grand Prize Trade Winners and will each receive:
     • One [1] Exclusive Castrol FIFA World Cup™ Football worth Ringgit Malaysia Eighty Eight [RM88] only.
     • Ringgit Malaysia One Thousand One Hundred [RM1,100] travel voucher.

1. All prizes are not exchangeable for cash, goods or credit, in part or in full.


2. The Organiser shall reserve the right at its absolute discretion to substitute any of the prizes with that of similar value at any time without prior notice.


3. Trade Winners will be notified via SMS or called on their contact number used to send the SMS. The Organiser will not be held liable in the event the Trade Winner(s) cannot be contacted for whatever reasons after at least three [3] attempts by the Organiser or its agents to contact the trade winners.

1. The Organiser shall not be held liable or responsible for any delay and/or failure in the receipt of SMS entry due to the respective telephone company network or ISP failure and/or inability to provide timely and/or efficient SMS services. No proof of SMS sent made will be entertained.


2. Trade Winners shall assume full liability and responsibility in case of any liability, mishap, injury, loss, damage, claim or accident (including death) resulting from their participation in this Contest, redemption and/or usage of the prizes. The Organiser shall not be responsible for any liability, mishap, loss, damage, claim or accident (including death) in any manner whatsoever.


3. All transportation, SMS, postage/courier, personal costs and/or any other costs, fees and/or related expenses that are incurred to participate in this Contest and to redeem the prizes are the sole responsibility of the Trade Winner, and the Trade Winner must abide by the terms and conditions of the party(ies) arranging and/or for the prizes and the terms and conditions attached to the prizes, if any.

1. The Organiser shall reserve the right to publish, use the names and/or photographs of the Trade Winners as materials for the purposes of advertising and/or trade publicity, without any prior notice to the Trade Winners and the Trade Winners shall not be entitled to claim ownership or other forms of compensation on the materials. All Trade Participants information and contest entries details shall become the property of the Organiser.


2. By participating in this Contest, the Trade Participant agrees to receive future information, products or services from the Organizer after the contest of which the Organizer thinks may be of interest to the Trade Participant and communication will cease upon request of the Trade Participant.


3. The Organiser reserves the right to change the terms and conditions herein at any time at its absolute discretion without prior notice.

2. By participating in this Contest, Trade Participants agree to be bound by this Contest Rules and Regulations, and the decisions of the Organiser.


3. The Rules & Regulations are provided in English, Malay and Mandarin only.


4. In the event if the Chinese and Malay language Rule & Regulations has discrepancy with the English Rules & Regulations, the English Rules & Regulations shall supersede.
